How eHarmony Makes The Matches For You

Most dating sites force you to do most of the work. They provide member profiles and photos, and let you do the choosing. eHarmony, though, is a completely different way to date online. It uses a comprehensive personality questionnaire to do most of the matching for you.

eHarmony has two major differences from most dating sites. For one, physical appearance is not a focus. While the questionnaire does ask you how attractive you think you are, and asks how important such matters are in finding a match, it does not ask for much about your weight or eye and hair color. In fact, it doesn’t allow you to see photos without a paid subscription. Another difference is that this matchmaking site focuses on long term relationships, and has no ability to match those of the same sex. The FAQ section explains this by saying that the personality matching works only when applied to someone looking for marriage with someone of the opposite sex.

The way in which the site is set up, and the way in which it does the matching for you, is no doubt perfect for those looking for a traditional long term relationship with a member of the opposite sex.
